Terms of sale.

How ordering from My City Is works, what we promise and what the law promises you.

Draft for review before launch. Not legal advice; to be approved by the owner and counsel. Anything marked in the text is still to be supplied.

Who we are

My City Is is run by Autograf Digital Corp., #800 - 550 6 Ave SW, Calgary AB T2P 0S2, Canada. You can reach us at hello@mycity.is.

These terms take effect on 19 October 2026.

Your order

Every product is made to order from the exact design version you approved in the designer. Please check spelling, dates and placement before you add a design to your bag.

Your order is a contract once we email you the order confirmation. Payment is taken by Stripe, into Autograf Digital Corp.'s account, when you check out; we never see your card details.

Words you add

When a design carries words you typed, or a name in its own script, a person reads it before it is printed. We may contact you to correct a typo, and we may refuse to print anything unlawful, hateful, or that uses someone else's trademark or artwork. If we can't print your design, we refund you in full.

Prices, tax and shipping

Prices are shown in your market's currency. Shipping, and any sales tax, GST or VAT that applies, are shown at checkout before you pay.

If you order from outside the markets we ship to, or a product can't ship to your address, we tell you before you pay.

Our promise

If your order arrives damaged, defective, misprinted or not what you designed, we reprint it or refund you: you choose. Tell us within 14 days of delivery.

This promise is in addition to your rights under the law where you live; it never replaces them.

Using the designs

The designs, typography and site are ours or our licensors'. Your purchase gives you the physical product for your own use; it doesn't give you rights to reproduce the design. Map designs use data © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence; see Credits.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

Your rights in Canada and the United States

Applies to: Canada, United States

Consumer protection laws in your province or state may give you rights in addition to these terms. Nothing here limits them.

Your rights in Australia

Applies to: Australia

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Your rights in the United Kingdom

Applies to: United Kingdom

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel an order within 14 days of delivery, except for goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised: designs carrying your words, pins or chosen view are personalised.
